PACBOR® – The PACBOR® brand of borate treated wood stands for quality and experience. It was the first brand of treated wood sold in the mainland United States and is well known for its economical, environmentally sound and solid performance qualities. PACBOR® is for interior use, typically as sill plate, interior plywood and framing lumber.
TimberSaver® PT – The TimberSaver® PT brand of borate treated wood is produced in our plant in Oregon and sold in Hawaii. Like PACBOR®, it provides strong protection against Formosan and other termite species (at industry specified retention levels), as well as protection from decay fungi and wood destroying insects. For use in interior applications only.
ACQ Preserve® – ACQ has a long history of use as a wood preservative in exterior and interior applications. It is a copper and quat based preservative. ACQ gets excellent penetration in the difficult to treat Douglas fir and Hem fir species found on the west coast. ACQ Preserve® provides long-term protection from rot, decay and termite attack. Wood treated with this preservative can be used in residential, commercial and industrial applications, above ground, in ground contact and with fresh water immersion applications. This product features a lifetime limited warranty or a Permanent Wood Foundation Warranty (60-year).
Genuine Residential Wolmanized® Outdoor Wood – This preservative is copper based and is used for decks, retaining walls, fences, picnic tables, planter boxes, walkways, sill plate and structural members. It comes with a limited lifetime warranty for most residential applications and a separate 75-year Permanent Wood Foundation warranty.
CCA – This is a traditional, waterborne wood preservative treatment used for agricultural and industrial applications. It is not for use in residential applications, and must be used in applications consistent with its labeling. CCA is a very effective wood preservative and is used to treat agricultural posts and stakes and industrial products such as poles. It has a 30-year limited warranty for agricultural fence posts.
Dricon® – Dricon® fire retardant treated wood performs triple-duty as it impedes flame spread and smoke development, while providing wood preservative protection against wood destroying insects and decay fungi. Dricon is backed by a 40-year limited warranty and is MIL-L-19140E QPL listed, Factory Mutual listed and backed by the Good Housekeeping Seal.
Pentachlorophenol (Penta) – This is a heavy-duty wood preservative for industrial applications such as utility poles. This preservative has decades of performance history and is the most widely accepted oilborne preservative for the treatment of wood utility poles.
Copper Naphthenate (CuNap) – CuNap is another heavy-duty wood preservative for industrial applications such as utility poles. It has a General Use preservative classification by the EPA (as opposed to a Restricted Use classification). Many utilities prefer CuNap for this reason. CuNap has decades of performance history and virtually the same industry approvals as Penta.
Creosote – PWP treats with either a 50/50 or 70/30 solution of creosote. The 50/50 solution is typically chosen by railroads for use in the production of railroad ties. The 70/30 preservative work solution is a more economical treatment for industrial ties utilized in mild to moderate hazard zones. Creosote is a heavy-duty wood preservative intended for industrial applications and high hazard areas. The 70/30 treatment is not in accordance with AWPA specifications, but may be suitable for certain applications where economic requirements are important.
