Utilities. PWP produces wood utility poles, wood telephone poles and crossarms in a variety of wood species and preservative treatments. Specializing in Douglas fir transmission and distribution poles, PWP is one of the largest capacity wood treaters in the United States. Oilborne wood treatments for this industry include pentachlorophenol, copper naphthenate and creosote. PWP is vertically integrated, starting by helping to select the right tree in the forest and producing the final Douglas fir transmission or utility pole.
Railroad. Railroad crossties and switchties are produced by our full-capability manufacturing facilities. Ties are received, trimmed, incised, end-plated, air-seasoned and treated in a variety of wood treatments. The traditional and most popular creosote treatment, along with copper naphthenate and pentachlorophenol treatments.
Construction. Construction products include treated lumber and plywood, lagging, sill plate, decking, bridge stringers, timbers, piling, fire retardant treated wood, cooling towers and more. Wood treatments include PACBOR® lumber and plywood, ACQ Preserve®, CA-C (Genuine Residential Wolmanized® Outdoor Wood), CCA (in limited applications), Dricon®, TimberSaver® Borate Hawaiian Treatment.
Agriculture. Fence posts, fencing, vineyard posts and tree stakes are a sampling of the agricultural products produced by PWP. Products are produced using a selection of wood preservatives, including CCA, ACQ or CA-C.
Oil and Gas. This industry is a big user of hardwood crane mats, trestle mats, laminated mats, used mats and more. Pipeline contractors appreciate our large in-stock inventories, quality construction and dependable service.
