At the last Western Wood Preservers Institute meeting there was a presentation by Bryan Schuler from WoodWorks. WOW. This is a great organization. It was started a few years ago to support the use of wood in non-residential buildings. Their website is www.woodworks.org. I was extremely impressed with the program itself, along with the results it is having. As an example, they were able to convert about 200 restaurants of a large, fast food retailer that would have been built in steel, to wood.
